Options in detail
Many options may be set by the user for each query window, such
as:
- color coding of rows based on data column values
- toggling automatic refresh of data, refresh interval
- toggling display of result set and/or statistical information
- sound effect on arrival of new data entry
- visibility, width and order of data columns
- column and direction that defines the order of presented data
entries
The following generic functions are available in the query windows:
- display of properties window
- jump to remote control
- manual refresh of data
- printing of data based on current window settings
- exporting data to a local file (comma separated format)
- hiding the query window
- request of new query window (independent or child window)
- performing database functions (calling stored procedures)
- calling an other program, module
Definition of queries, actions, personal settings are all stored
in the central database, therefore the Query user environment
is easily extendable, modifiable without any change to the executables.
It can be integrated with existing information systems, too.
